Cookie policy

Which cookies the Royal Golden website uses and how to change your choice.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. We use as few as possible, and advertising cookies (Google Ads) only if you allow them.

Necessary cookies

These cookies are needed for the website to work and to keep it secure. They are always active. - Session cookie (__Host-royalgolden_session): keeps you signed in and protects forms; expires after about two hours without activity. - XSRF-TOKEN: protects forms against requests from other websites; same lifetime as the session. - rg_locale: remembers the language you chose; one year. - rg_consent: remembers your cookie choice; 180 days. It holds a random number used to record your choice anonymously.

Visit statistics, only with your permission

If you allow statistics, we count visits to improve the website: pages viewed, the website you came from, device and browser type, language and approximate country derived from the IP address. We do this ourselves, without third-party analytics services. IP addresses are not stored in the statistics, and the statistics are not used to identify you. If you choose necessary cookies only, no visit statistics are collected about you.

Advertising cookies (Google Ads), only with your permission

If you choose "Allow statistics and advertising", the website loads the Google Ads tag from Google. Google then sets advertising cookies in your browser, for example _gcl_au (90 days), and receives the pages you view, your IP address and details of your browser and device, to measure the results of our advertising and to show you our ads on other websites. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). The tag is never loaded in the client portal. If you withdraw this permission, the tag is no longer loaded and our website's Google advertising cookies are removed from your browser.

Third-party content

The map on the Contact page is loaded from OpenStreetMap only after you choose to open it; OpenStreetMap then receives your IP address under its own privacy policy. Links to social networks are plain links and set no cookies on our website.

Changing your choice

Use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; the website will then ask for your choice again.
